Gamers from the Philippines: Get your Budget Ready

This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (more famously known as E3) was full of new game announcements ranging from VR to Norman Reedus. Read on to catch up on game news hotter than the sizzling California summer sun.

Sony Announces VR Headset

Entering the burgeoning Virtual Reality games market is Sony with the announcement of their VR Headset. The company will kick off their VR contender with 50 games including Batman: Arkham and Start Wars Battlefront: X-Wing. What’s really cool about this is that you will be able to play Sony’s VR headset directly with your PS4 console. Also, at a price of $399, it is by far the most budget-friendly, cheapest VR headset to be made available in the market (versus Occulus Rift and HTC Vive). Watch out for its release on October 13.

‘Death Stranding’ from Hideo Kojima, starring Norman Reedus

‘Metal Gear Solid’ creator Kojima unveiled his latest project ‘Death Standing’, what appears to be an action game rising from the ashes of the dead Silent Hills project, during Sony’s conference. The conceptual trailer is probably the most memorable of the Expo. It features a naked CG Norman Reedus clutching to a baby in the middle of beached whales and dead fish, with distant figures watching as they float high up in bleak-looking skies. Fants of the Uncharted series and Division are bound to fall for this game, or so Kojima predicts.

‘God of War’ Returns

In what might be the most elaborately produced announcements – complete with an orchestra playing the musical score for the trailer — gamers got to get a glimpse of the new God of War game. Using Norse mythology as a theme, with RPG gameplay elements, fans of the game are looking forward to its release.
