2016 Nissan Juke: How You Can Own this Quirky-Cool Crossover SUV

If you’re looking for a compact SUV-sports car crossover with a unique look and features, the Nissan Juke may just be for you. Find out more about the features, specs, and price of this head turning crossover SUV.

Not for the faint of heart, Nissan Juke sports a unique curvy look that is not typical for SUV crossovers in the Philippines. It is one of those things that you either love or hate instantly at first sight.

Big Bold Design

The first thing you’ll notice about the Juke are the three pairs of lights (headlamps, fog lamps, and auto headlights) which can be startling at first until you find yourself growing fond of them. The side profile gives the illusion that it is a crossover of an SUV and a two-door coupe, mainly because of the hidden rear door handles.

But perhaps the Juke’s most distinctive design feature is the big rear bumper and tail lights, in what Nissan calls a “boomerang design”. It comes in strong, loud colors such as Bumblebee Yellow, Magnetic Red, and Ink Blue. This is a car you won’t forget seeing on the road.

The interior continues the curvy theme with its round, oversized gauges, aircon vents, and buttons.

The Drive

The Juke comes with an Inline 4 Cylinder, DOHC, 16V Twin CVTC engine with a 1.6 liter capacity. You might feel a slight delay in the acceleration, but switching to Sport Mode takes care of this.
Nissan Juke grips corners and handles quite well on the road thanks to its short wheelbase and compact form factor. The headroom may be challenging for some of the taller drivers, but all in all the comfort vs. ride balance is good.

Safety and Other Features

The Juke comes with front, side and curtain airbags; stability and traction control; ABS brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist that all add up to make it a solid, stable car.
Additional features that we found nifty are the smart key entry, start/stop system, different drive modes, and climate control. For an SUV that starts at P980,000, the Juke is hard to beat in terms of value for money.

Hate it or Buy It – There is no Middle Road

Nissan Juke dares to be different and polarising, which is one of the things our team likes about it. Either you hate it or you buy it – if you have the funds that is. For those of you who don’t, but are really looking into buying this cool, quirky SUV loaded with features, there are car financing options you can avail. If you’re serious about getting a car, you can consider getting a car loan. Loansolutions.ph can help you find the best auto loan deal for your Juke.
